Help Jeff Archer Heal and Return to Tennis

On Wednesday September 25th, life for Jeff Archer, our beloved friend and tennis pro, changed dramatically. Jeff was involved in a horrific car accident. The wreck left Jeff with two broken hips, and a fractured pelvis. The surgeon is optimistic about his recovery, but it will be a marathon, not a sprint.

Jeff is a giver and incredibly kind. Jeff is a vital asset to life on Bald Head Island. Jeff has improved our tennis games, but more importantly improved our spirits. He has built a fantastic community of tennis and pickleball players on the Island. He always greets everyone with a smile and sometimes a silly joke.

Jeff’s livelihood as a tennis professional is physical. To be able to work he must be on the court. He faces months of recovery and lots of therapy before he will be able to return. It’s a sobering thought to imagine this tragedy happening to anyone you love or care for. Jeff now needs us!

Our Bald Head Island community is asking you please consider opening your heart and wallet to help Jeff. He will need additional funds for his recovery as he works to make it back on the courts. These funds will contribute to:

• Subsidizing the cost of rehabilitative and physical therapies.

• Paying for medical expenses outside of insurance.

• Costs of transportation and self-care.

• Food (Jeff will not be able to cook for a while)

• Help with living expenses

Your offering will help ease the burden of uncertainty in Jeff’s future. We want him to focus on healing and not worry about paying bills. This will certainly help. Please consider and reflect on your time with Jeff. He deserves our prayers, and we ask you to give to someone who's given us so much.
