PRAY FOR HAYLIE

This is Haylie, a bright, active 7 year old - until 3 weeks ago. Her speech became slurred and when walking she would lean to the right. Her doctor did an immediate MRI and same day sent her via life flight to Oakland Childrens Hospital for surgery to remove a brain tumor.  The doctors in Oakland didn't do the surgery. They diagnosed her with DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas) an inoperable brain tumor in the brain stem that effects fewer than 200 children per year and gave her 12 months to live.  Not a quitter, her mom researched available options and has found a clinical trial in New York but before Haylie can start this experimental treatment she will have to undergo 6 weeks of 5 day a week radiation in the hope of shrinking the tumor.  Friends and family ask how to help - this is a concrete and much needed way to help.  The family is dealing with the immediate urgency of fighting to keep Haylie alive.  Please help us
