Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), named after the three doctors who first identified it, is one of the most common inherited nerve disorders. CMT affects an estimated 1 in 2,500 people in the United States and 2.6 million people worldwide, although experts believe the number could be much higher.

Royce has it.  And he goes to Great River Montessori , an awesome school.

Hi, I'm Dean Johnson (AKA CroonerDean -- as there are multiple dean Johnson's in town), a special needs Dad, Architect, Musician and Storyteller.  I really could use your help funding this special bike that will, and has an a sense, really transformed his young life and outlook

This year's final 7th-8th grade key experience is a 4-day 100-mile bike ride /camping tripi at the end of May 2018 .

Royce was NOT going to ride in the cargo bus.
Every Mile was going to be on a bike.

Royce believes E-bikes are the future, and hopes his big ride helps others have the courage to embrace technology that eraces the obstacles that come between themselves and their better selves.

We are especially grateful as my main source of Home Design work went a different direction, and Patty also has Muscular Dystrophy and a relatively revent head injury, and has stopped working.
