E. J. Hedger Education Fund

Edwin James Hedger, 75, of Florence, NJ, passed from this life on Monday, May 8, 2023, after hospitalization for medical conditions.

Known as “Ed” to friends and loved ones, he was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, vintage cars, boating and a good action or sci-fi movie. His faith and generosity motivated him to donate much of his time and talents to his church and community.

The epitome of a hard worker, Ed served as Design Project Manager for the State of New Jersey until his hospitalization. Ed is survived by his spouse, son, daughter, and his grandchildren. He especially loved being a grandfather to Noah, Joley and Gwen.

A service celebrating Ed’s life will be held at The Fountain of Life Center on Monday, May 15, at 7 p.m. EST. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to a fund contributing to his grandchildren’s education.
