My volunteer trip to Peru

Hi! My name is Aubrey Jones and I am a student at Florida State University pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences on the Pre-Vet track .Recently I was accepted into the AMAPeru volunteer program. This program consists of five weeks (May 19,2016-June 23,1016) in Peru this summer working alongside Veterinarians from AMAPeru. We will be providing vaccinations and other services to the dogs and cats in a different community each week.  Other activities include volunteering at the dog shelter and the local zoo once a week to help with the cleaning, feeding, and the medical treatment of the animals living there.
                Anyone that knows me knows that it has been my dream since I was little to be a large animal Veterinarian. This program is an amazing opportunity to gain experience working with many types of animals and to give back to the under served communities of Peru. As many of you know a program like this one can be very costly, especially for a college student. I must personally raise $2,200 to cover the cost of the program and travel expenses.
