Girlhood to Greatness #EmpowerHerTable Fundraiser

Tax deductible
Hi, we're the Dinner Table Doc a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with schools and community organizations to provide BIPOC girls ages 10-18 with self-esteem building and identity-based college and career readiness programming and resources. We prioritize teaching our scholars: Leadership, Self-Identity, and Health and Wellness.

In the past 10 years, we've grown tremendously and while it has been exciting it's also a great responsibility to ensure that we're providing adequate time and resources for all of our favorite scholars and little sisters.

In 2022 we made the hard decision to take a program hiatus after an accelerated period of growth as a result of our pivot to virtual programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to COVID-19 we impacted the lives of over 500 students in the New York City area.

However, from 2020-2022 through virtual programming we serviced almost double the number of students from 14 states and 3 countries.

We even facilitated a virtual book club program across 14 schools in the D.C. public school system!

P.S. let's not forget very early in the pandemic when we helped send our 13 year old student Dr. Nina to college!

Deciding to stop our programs during a rapid fire growth season was not easy, but we knew if we didn't stop to build capacity we wouldn't have a sustainable program in the future.

During our hiatus we were able to build a stronger organizational structure, develop new programs and asses programming data to become even more strategic and intentional with our goal to help girls of color live at their fullest potential.

With many thanks to our staff, dedicated volunteers, as well as granting support through Pincus Family Foundation and CatchaFire we are now emerging from our hiatus with a new mission statement, new programs offerings, new partnership opportunities and a few friends in new cities (hey LA, ATL).

As we set the table for a fresh chapter, we invite you to join us on this journey to inspire, educate, and uplift the future leaders of tomorrow. Your support will help us to continue make a triumphant return with an array of exciting new programs tailored to empower and uplift young women of color. We're dedicated to nurturing leadership skills, fostering self-identity, and promoting holistic health and wellness within our community.

Together, we can create lasting positive change in the lives of these incredible young women.
