Rally for Sean

Hi, my name is Shannon, and I’m fundraising for my nephew Sean. In depth medical details will be spared due to his privacy.

January 29th, my 16 year old nephew Sean was admitted into CHOP, and hasn’t been home since. He has been battling IBD since he was 9. It has been a tough road with a lot of bumps along the way. Endless procedures, monthly infusions, hospital stays, surgeries, and severe pain. We have all been in awe of his bravery, determined attitude and humor throughout the years. He hasn’t let his disease set him back on reaching any of his goals. He is a straight A student who takes all honors classes, the Vice President of his Sophomore class, and a varsity basketball player. However, none of us were prepared for the significant decline his health would take. These past few months have been extremely difficult. So far, they have been at CHOP for 2.5 months and he has endured things no child should go through. I know we all feel helpless in this situation. Anyone who knows Sean, absolutely loves him. He is the best brother, son, big cousin, nephew,grandson, and friend. He has a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone. So many people have reached out and have asked how they can help. I would love to lessen any kind of financial stress I can for my sister and brother in law. I have been extremely hesitant to do this because I want to respect their privacy. However, today Todd was coming home from the hospital to start his first day back at work in 3 weeks. He was hit from behind on the Walt Whitman bridge and his car was totaled. This was the straw that broke the camels back for me. Thank you so much for your generosity.
