Two years ago I came to Uganda for the first time for evangelism and saw how receptive and fruitful this country is. I only stayed for about 2 months but right before I left I encouraged John and Jesse McPhaill to come here and continue the work. They were planning on being evangelists to Africa even before I contacted them so it seemed to be the will of God that they come here. I left about a month before they came so I never actually got to meet up with them in Uganda and I never foresaw the amount of work they would accomplish in such a short time. The church that I attended was only running about 50 members, most of them being Bible college students and church workers, but now, Gospel Light Baptist Church is running about 150 on Sunday mornings (about 80% being John and Jesse's disciples). After reading the McPhaill's missionary update letters and being completely amazed at the amount work being done for the Lord, I was encouraged to come back to Uganda to witness it first hand and also to join them in their labours.
To date, they have about 50 homerun disciples (people that have gotten saved, baptized, finished discipleship lessons, and have become a soulwinner).
Those 50 homerun disciples have gotten over 4,000 salvations, and the number grows dramatically every day.
John & Jesse have gotten 5,638 salvations.
Combined they have gotten 392 baptisms.
