Help my family escape Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Mahmoud Okasha, and I am from Gaza City. I have an amazing wife and three beautiful sons. My youngest son was just two weeks old when the invasion began. My wife and I have struggled to keep our newborn alive and healthy after being displaced to Deir el Balah and spending the entire winter without shelter or consistent access to food.
Aside from our three sons, my wife and I are responsible for my elderly parents and other elderly relatives who have no one else to care for them. Our elderly family members have suffered immensely these past six months being homeless in the rain and cold and without access to adequate food or medicine. In total, my wife and I are caring for eight other very vulnerable individuals in the midst of relentless bombardments and famine.
I never would have dreamed of leaving Gaza, but I need to keep my family alive and rebuild their lives. The invasion has taken everything from us. Several relatives have been killed. Our home with all our family memories--from when my wife and I were newlyweds to the births of each of our sons--is gone. My dental clinic that I worked so hard to establish after years of studies has been reduced to rubble. The health of each of my family members continues to deteriorate after 6 months of displacement without our most basic human needs being met. The only thing my family and I have left is each other, so I am doing everything I can to get them to safety.
Any amount that you can donate will potentially be life saving for my family.
