Help the ICC students go to Peaks Island!

After a trying year of remote programming, Maine families have come to appreciate the vital importance of hands-on, experiential learning. The Intercultural Community Center’s summer program, Power School, supports the academic and social-emotional development of primarily immigrant and low-performing students (grades 3-8) in Westbrook, Maine.

Your donation will help make an end-of-summer field trip to Peaks Island possible for roughly 55 students. The students will enjoy a ferry ride to the island, and spend the day with a tour guide exploring ocean ecology along the coast and historical sites pertaining to the island’s role in WWII. For many of our kids, it will be their first time on a boat!The costs associated with this capstone event are significant. Your generous support will directly fund the transportation, food, and programmatic costs related to the trip. Thank you!
