The war took everything from me

My name is Ahmed Nimer Abu Zor, and my wife is Salwa. We are a Palestinian family that has struggled for many years to build a decent life. We have four children: Mohammed (23 years old), Muhannad (22 years old), Mai (20 years old), and Muayad (17 years old).

We built a new home with love and high hopes after years of hard work. I had an aluminum workshop that was my only source of income, and my modest car was my means of transportation and work. But the war destroyed everything.

This is my home and workshop before and after they were destroyed.

On a day I will never forget, our beautiful dream turned into a terrifying nightmare. Our home was violently bombed, killing two of my beloved children, Mohammed (23 years old) and Mai (20 years old), who was in the prime of her youth. Their loss was an indescribable heartbreak. My wife, Salwa, was also seriously injured in the bombing, and we are still struggling to get the necessary treatment for her.

It didn’t stop there; My workshop, which was my only source of income, was completely destroyed, as was my car, which was my only means of transportation and work. In an instant, my life was turned into rubble. I lost my home, my job, and the most precious thing I had - my family.

Today, I find myself facing very difficult circumstances, and I ask for your help. I have lost everything and I need a helping hand to rebuild my life, to treat my wife, and to start over. Every donation, no matter how small, will be a glimmer of hope in this darkness.

We now ask for your prayers and support, and we ask for a little hope to rebuild what the war has destroyed and to hold on to life again.
