UP DATE ON WILLOW ............... Dr Kim Smith (specialist in small animal surgery) has taken over Willows case. He said the elbow fracture was the worst he'd ever seen, yes he could fix it but the elbow wouldn't function again properly. Yes he can plate her ulna & radius on her right leg. All up cost $12,000.00 up front. I ask him "what cost for amputation of left leg and saving right leg? $9,000.00 max. Now I have the situation of a dingo with a gammy fore ever left leg and a good right leg. So I opt for amputation of left leg and save right leg. My reasons :- financial (they want $12,000.00 up front) I can't manage that.... is a gammy leg any great benefit (not really) better to have one good leg. Willow is a worrier and she is a Dingo after all. It was a hard decision for me BUT the right decision. I still need to pay the $9,000.00 by tomorro. I thank you all who have been able to donate and send best wishes. I hope you can share this around to help Willow's cause further please.
Willow has two broken legs and it is now going to cost $12,000.00 to fix both her legs and the vets want the money up front. No such thing as "paying off" up here in the NT
Hi, my name is Jill and I've been unwell recently. One of my beautiful Dingoes "Willow" dug through to next door and made it out onto a very busy road and got hit by a car. There were lots of concerned people stopped and trying to help Willow. She was snarling, yelping in pain and bit two people before I got to her. As soon as I got to her she settled down and let me pick her up and one of the concerned onlookers bundled us into her car and drove us to a vet (that she had already contacted). The money will be used to help pay the vet bill and to clean the inside of the car that drove us to the vet. My Dingoes mean the world to me and as my husband and I are both on aged pensions, we have no way of paying the vet and car cleaning fees. I thank everyone in advance for your help.xxx
