Indigenous children of Mexico

Donation protected
My boyfriend and I were in Teacapan, Mexico last week helping to deliver food, shampoo, milk and other essentials to the indigenous children who come with their families from southern Mexico to pick the crops. These children, most 5 years and younger, are left on their own to care for their younger siblings  with no food and hardly running water in abandoned cement dwellings.  They sleep on dirt floors with only one blanket.

With only two people spearheading this initiative (thank you Linda and Brenda!), they are left with little hope.

The goal is to raise enough funds to open a daycare someday where these children could be fed, bathed and nurtured, but for now more money for beans and rice will do.

After  experiencing  this firsthand, I want to do my part to get the word out. I would be forever grateful if you could spare a few dollars to help.  500 pesos or $27 a day has the ability to feed 10 families. This covers a bag of rice, beans, one carrot, one onion and one tomato.

Please also read the attached article for more information on migrant workers and the kids who have to go into the fields.

I will match the first $2,000 so please help us "raise the roof" so to speak!  ;-)

Thank you you very much.
