VMI College Class Ring

I'm writing today to ask for your help. Since I have come to Virginia Military Institute (VMI) I have had the support of God, family and friends. I didn't think I'd be able to even make it to my junior year because of finances, but here I am continuing my education to become an Officer in the U.S. Navy. I am calling on my family, friends and fellow supporters to ask for your help to pay for my Class Ring. My number one concern is to graduate with my class and ensure my future guaranteed commission in Navy.

   I worked all summer to make sure I could continue to study this fall and all my earnings went to tuition and books. That being said I have no money for my class ring. I didn't use to believe in class rings in high school and I never purchased one because I didn't have the funds then. Since the VMI Ratline however I understand what real camaraderie is amongst a brotherhood and I want to identify with it. The VMI class ring is not only a symbol of surviving strenuous workouts, constant stress and never-ending tasks and responsibilities but it is a reminder of God's grace to me and how he has told me I will graduate.

   The Ring in remembrance of what Christ does for me daily is inscribed with a Bible verse so I will never forget the people that have propped me up along this amazing journey in this current chapter of my life. I have until December of this year to finish paying off my ring.
