Unplugged: Get Them On The Grid!

Our friend Erin Phelan and her family left their homestead in Kansas and set up shop in Kentucky hoping for a fresh start.  They have experience homesteading, but getting established in a new place isn't easy.  Just getting power hooked up to the house will cost several hundred dollars, a cost the power company didn't notify them of in advance, so the extra expense is a big surpise, and winter is coming soon.  Erin's so used to doing everything for herself, it's not easy to ask for help, so we're asking for her. 

Our goal is $1000 to cover the power hookup, including fees, taxes, and any unexpected expenses that come up in the process.  We hope to raise above and beyond that to cover other expenses, like wiring, fixtures, and so on, so they can have a warm and cozy winter in their new place.
