This is Kathy. She a wife, a mother, a daughter, sister, and aunt, a nurse, and a friend. Kathy is so many things to so many people, it's hard to sum it up in one paragraph . I could think of so many ways to describe her but I'm gonna tell you why I'm choosing one word... STRONG.
Less than two years ago Kathy was in kidney failure. The entire time she stayed positive, kept her faith, trusted God, and worked hard, even when she didn't feel good. As an RN, nurses love and care for people and that's what Kathy did. She continued to deliver babies, she prayed, and she stayed strong. Kathy received her miracle through the love of a donor and a friend. Kathy fought hard, that's what she does.
Since Covid-19 hit, Kathy's doctors were reluctant to allow her to return to work. She'd been out for months, only returning to work for about 2 weeks.
The first week of July, Kathy got sick and only days later she was admitted to ICU, testing positive for Covid. She was holding her own, keeping us all updated, face timing with her family, she even got in trouble once for doing leg exercises and setting off her machines. She is such an over achiever!! But let me tell you Kathy never lost her faith. Her text messages would inspire me, I was just amazed at get her faith and she told me "it's all about the attitude." And that she was "truly humbled".
Two weeks later, Kathy's health took a turn and she was placed on the ventilator and once again Kathy is waiting on her miracle.
So...Here's what I'm asking, pray. Pray pray PRAY. But if you feel lead and you're able, let's please help this family. Kathy has been out of work for a very long time, ave we would love to lift some financial burden from them. They haven't been able to see her since they had to drop her off at the hospital.
John has never lost his faith and reminds me "I am bringing my wife home". We love you Kathy, John, Lily and Brandon..and we are fighting this with you all.
