HELP NEEDED FOR MICHAEL RODRIGUEZ & FAMILY

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with an extremely heavy heart I share this news about my dear friend who just lost his home in the Caldor Fire which swept right through his community of Grizzy Flats over the weekend and destroyed his entire home and memories of 24 years. My friend Michael and his wife were wed in this home and together they have two young children with Special Needs who were also born in this home. Not only is this a tremendous loss for Michael, but the entire family is now faced with major adjustments, especially his children.

My friend has also served in the US Military prior to having children and is one of the most devoted fathers I have ever met. He has made many sacrifices to provide for his family and I can assure you the process has not been an easy one for him. His home in Grizzly Flats was his life dream and he poured his heart and soul into caring for it and providing shelter for his family. This loss has been just absolutely devastating to say the least and very hard to witness.

As you all know, I don't typically fundraise unless it is very dear to my heart. I am reaching out to all of you today for your kindness and support, and in hopes that you will find it in your heart to contribute (any amount) to help my friend rebuild his home for his family and pick up the pieces once again. What's now left are only memories which he holds very close in his heart. With your help, he can start the clean-up process and rebuild his "sanctuary in the woods" as we often called his home in the beautiful El Dorado County and begin once again.
