Mt Kenya Relief Fund
Donation protected
JAMBO! We are reaching out to ask for support for the men and women who make their living on Mt Kenya. Many of the guides, cooks, camp managers and porters work solely on a freelance contract basis. For most of them this mountain work is their only source of income and their means of supporting themselves and their families. With the COVID-19 pandemic that work is now gone.
For the price of 2 takeaway coffees you can provide food for a family of 4 for an entire week. In other words, $8-10$ can help feed a family for a week. By making a $60 donation, you can support a family with food, airtime and other essential items for a month.
We are supporting our crew in any way we can and will continue to do so, but in times like these our resources are limited. If you are able to contribute to our Mt. Kenya Relief Fund you will be making a big difference in the lives of these men and women over the next few months.
Money raised for the Mt. Kenya Relief Fund will be used to buy basic supplies including rice, beans, cooking oil, sugar and tea. You can read more about our efforts and exactly how we plan to support our mountain crew on our website:

We will also be posting updates from our crew on the website over the next few weeks and would love it if you would follow us on our website and on social media.
We at African Ascents wish you and your families all the best for this year and we hope this finds you in good health.
