This message is to show support for the Wallo Oromo people during this difficult time. The Wallo people have been attacked by Amhara regional government. They have been jailed, tortured, humiliated, and killed for no reason. During this year alone, there have been several instances where the Wallo Oromo people have been attacked because of their culture and religion. We have lost many young men and women who stood in opposition to the Regional militia. Some of the youths have become disabled and have lost their legs or other body parts due to the ongoing war.

Currently, Fanno (Amhara extremist groups), similar to that of people who carries and uses illegal weaponry, as well as armed Amhara regional police are killing innocent Wallo Oromos. So far, 15 Oromos have been killed with 30 others who were wounded. Many unfortunately lost their lives in the care of hospitals because they are unable to access medical treatment. Additionally, the care they receive at local hospitals or clinics is not within the Wallo Oromo area but rather located in the opposition’s land, which puts them at greater risk of losing their lives.
