Adam Roberts Memorial Fund
Donation protected
This past Saturday, many of us lost a beloved person in our lives with the tragic and unexpected passing of Adam Roberts. This fund is being set up by Richard Patch, Kristen Hassen, and Betsy McFarland, all close friends of the family. We are writing to update anyone who is yearning to offer a helping hand to their family.
In light of his passing, we remember Adam’s long career in animal protection, wildlife conservation, poverty reduction, environmental preservation, and green energy initiatives. Though an ardent voice for these notable causes, Adam’s pride and joy came from his role as a loving husband to Stephanie, a doting father to Bella and Mia, a dedicated son to Jane, and a loyal friend to far too many to name. At his core, Adam was a fierce advocate and a devoted provider.
At this moment, we humbly offer you a means to support Adam’s family as they navigate through this earth-shattering loss.
Funds contributed to this memorial fundraiser will be used to alleviate the burden of the variety of immediate expenses that now fall solely on Steph. In addition, a large portion of the funds will be used to seed Adam’s legacy. Just three weeks ago, Adam and Stephanie purchased a large property in their beloved Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, where they planned to live and build a sanctuary for rescued farm animals.
They envisioned a refuge for these gentle creatures, who suffered unimaginable cruelty and neglect at the hands of the factory farming industry, to spend the rest of their lives knowing only kindness and devoted care. Many of you know that philanthropy has long been a fundamental value of Adam and Stephanie’s lives.
If you would prefer to donate directly to an organization close to Adam’s heart, please consider contributing to the Oklahoma Primate Sanctuary (https://okprimates.org/), Morgan County Family Support Center Starting Points (https://www.starting-points.org/) or Bethesda Green (https://bethesdagreen.org/). Adam cared deeply about the missions and work of these organizations.
Most importantly, please keep Adam’s loved ones close to your heart as they attempt to cope with the shocking loss of the person who hung the moon for them. Your kindness and love are felt by them and are getting them through this impossibly difficult time.
Adam’s obituary and date of service are forthcoming.
