Hope all is well with you and yours!
I started this “Go Fund Me” for our Colleague Brendan Japp with Worldwide Express who has recently been diagnosed on 4/13 with a rare form of lung cancer and is facing mounting health expenses as he takes on this terrible disease. As of 4/28 we learned that the cancer had spread to his brain as well.
Brendan, 31 and his wife Jennifer have 4 children all under the age of six. Griffin 5, Edie 3, Maddox 2,
and William “Huck” who is six months old. Brendan is an outstanding family man who devoted himself to the betterment of his family, church and community. Initially diagnosed as a fungal infection of the lungs, it was later confirmed as cancer. Brendan spent 11 days in the hospital and had to undergo emergency heart surgery to alleviate the fluids around his heart, numerous scans, biopsies and so on. His hospital stay of 11 days does not end here as he has a long hard road ahead. Brendan is not a candidate for Chemo but his Dr’s are looking into immune and gene therapy that is very expensive. Brendan is a strong man who has put his faith in God who will see him thru this journey.

Friday, 4/21
“My fight with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the lungs can know commence…… I was ready to start fighting a week ago, and although I’m pretty bruised and battered (literally; 7 different IV sights that are scabbed and blue) from the last week, I haven’t lost any of my resolve. TOO much to live for….Amazing Wife, and 4 kids under 6 that I would do anything for……. Bump Cancer….. This is going to be a fun story to read when it’s finished…… there will be dark and hard days ahead, but it won’t beat me…… a morbid part of me is excited about the challenge ahead…….. LET’S DO THIS!”
