Eagle Heights Roof Appeal

Dear Community,

Eagle Heights is not just a wonderful day out in the beautiful countryside. It is many things that are often forgotten in the excitement of the Eagle’s swooping overhead or listening to the Huskies howl. Eagle Heights is a non-profit organisation dedicated to conservation through inspiration & education. It is a home to many unwanted animals and a safe place for visitors that find the larger, busier and louder attractions to difficult to attend.

Unfortunately, our beloved site faces a pressing challenge that threatens to dim the light of our work: a roof that is no longer fit for purpose.

We have worked with a local company, repairing leaks and damage over the years, however this morning, after yesterdays unseasonable downpour caused a huge leak in the Tearoom, it was confirmed, it is now beyond repair. We are devastated and panic stricken.

Whilst the building no longer houses animals, who are all now living in more suitable accommodation outside, it houses our Tearoom, indoor flying arena, Gift Shop, Loos and the true ‘epi-centre’ the office!

Without these vital facilities we cannot continue to exist.

The current roof has been in place for what we estimate to be around 60 years! It has clearly served the building well, way back into its days as a milking shed for the village cows.

By rallying together as a community, we can ensure that Eagle Heights continues to serve for generations to come. Your generous contributions will go directly towards repairing our roof, which is currently being quoted at £100,000! (As part of our due diligence, we will of course be receiving tenders for this project and update the target according to the selected quote)

With over 28,000 followers across our social media channels, if just half of those followers donated £5 – we would surpass our target!
