Eagle Scout Project Charlotte Gingerelli Memorial
Donation protected
The day I became ill and was taken to the hospital and admitted to the ICU was August 30th 2020. While we were on the way to UVA we got a text, it informed us that Mrs Gingerelli , Music teacher to many children in The City of Staunton School System, had died tragically in a car accident.
My dad told me that Mrs Gingerelli and myself were both in a crisis, and reminded me to stay focused. We said a prayer for Mrs. Gingerelli and her family. We lost a wonderful teacher that day.
Because of Covid-19, the lockdown, restrictions, and school closures I don't feel that all of the people Mrs Gingerelli touched through her love of music and teaching (including my dad when he visited her class) had a good chance to honor her memory.
In her honor, I have chosen to do my Eagle Scout project at A.R. Ware Elementary school.
The space outside of the music room will be transformed into a memorial garden. The garden will be a place for students and teachers alike to reflect and relax, enjoy the outside of the school.
It will also serve as a reminder to everyone. No matter the problem, no matter how big or small the challenge, it will pass.
I will dedicate this in her name on behalf of Boy Scout Troop 388 and myself.
The name of the project is
Remember the Music - Charlotte Gingerelli Memorial Garden.
So we ask that in the upcoming weeks, look for information coming from Social Media, Local Radio Stations and if you have another way of getting the word out, please let me know.
Love you all
