Eagle Scout Project for Melwood Recreation Center
Would you be willing to help fund my Eagle Scout Project for Melwood?
My name is Ryan Nash, and I am a Boy Scout with Troop 1321 in La Plata, Maryland. For my Eagle Scout Project, I am renovating the flagpole area at Melwood Recreation Center in Nanjemoy, Maryland. I am hoping to make the flagpole area look better by replacing the old flagpole and pavers, staining the existing wood, and installing new landscaping and pathway stone. Any businesses willing to donate materials would be greatly appreciated.
This project is important to me because it will give me the opportunity to grow as a leader, while at the same time, helping to improve the community. Troop has many events at this facility and honoring the flag of our country is one of our daily practices. In the future, Scouts from Troop 1321 will see the work of an Eagle Scout Project and the improvements will be noticed by anyone who visits Melwood.
