EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT - Sutherlin's Sensory Room
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Reid, and I am trying to raise funds for my Eagle Scout Project. My project is to create a sensory room for Ms. Sutherlin at Hamilton Southeastern High School. This project is important to me because, as an Autistic student myself, I would have loved to have the sensory-seeking tools available to me in my classroom without having to leave my teacher and classmates.
I have worked closely with Ms. Sutherlin to design a room for her students to find sensory-seeking opportunities within their current environment. The different areas of opportunities in her classroom are the library, seating areas, calming corner, and the quiet room. Providing various tools, such as tactile wall boards, color-changing lighting, fidget stools and kick bands, and alternative seating options, such as bouncing balls and rockers, will help the students find a tool that will best work for them within their classroom.
I would greatly appreciate your donation to my Eagle Scout Project. The funds raised will go to Ms. Sutherlin's sensory room.
