Eagle Scout Project: Hoops For Hope

Hi! I’m Alex Rose, an upcoming senior at Archbishop Moeller High School and a proud alum of St. Gabriel Consolidated School, where I attended from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Throughout my time at St. Gabriel, one thing consistently stood out: the dilapidated state of our basketball hoops. These worn-out, weather-beaten portable hoops have limited student activities during recess and gym class for years.

As a Boy Scout dedicated to community service, I've decided to take on the challenge of upgrading our school's basketball facilities for my Service Project. This initiative will not only enhance the physical education resources at St. Gabriel but also enrich the daily recreation time for current and future students.

We need approximately $4,500 to install new, durable basketball hoops that can withstand years of active use. The project is slated for the summer of 2024, and every dollar raised will go directly towards purchasing and installing these new hoops.
