Support family of 5 year old- March 16th accident
Donation protected
On March 16, a devastating accident in Grants Pass suddenly and violently took the life of a 5 year old. Family friends have organized this fundraiser to raise money for 1) expenses associated with the accident & aftermath, 2) health care and mental health care for the family including a sibling (who witnessed the event), 3) potential loss of time from work.
This is the worst nightmare of every parent. Any assistance helps to ease logistical concerns so they can focus on adjusting & healing.
Parents, Tom and Meagan, are asking that everyone understand their desire to remain private and protective of their family unit as they work to recover from this terrible tragedy. Their wish is that if and when people speak of the event, they speak of our common human emotions associated with it, rather than speculation about details.
The simple truth is this was an average moment in the life of a family, just stepping out of their vehicle for a treat after volunteering in the community.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of concern. We are too – it reminds us in our increasingly growing community it’s still a small town full of people with big hearts who care about one another.
Whether it is a monetary donation or a good thought or prayer, it all matters. Thank you for spreading positivity.
