Support Earthquake Victims in Türkiye!

We are deeply saddened by the news of the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. Our deepest sympathies go out to everyone who has been affected by the terrible tragedy, and we wish our injured a speedy recovery.

On 6th February 2023, Türkiye was hit by two devastating earthquakes of magnitudes 7.8 and 7.5, affecting thousands of people across multiple cities including Kahramanmaraş, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Adana, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, Kilis, Hatay and Malatya.

Many have lost their lives or are still trapped under the rubble, and thousands have been left homeless in the midst of harsh winter conditions, in desperate need of supplies such as blankets, winter clothing and food. While we mourn this disaster, we know that this is a time when we must come together to help those who are in desperate need of our help.

We call for the international community to unite and provide immediate support by raising funds.
All the proceedings of the fundraising organised by the Luton Turkish Community Association and the British Turkish Associations will be transferred directly to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) which is an agency under the Turkish Ministry of Interior working to prevent disasters and minimize disaster-related damages, planning and coordinating post-disaster responses.

It is a time when we must come together to help those who are in urgent need of our support.

Thank you in advance for your generous support and donations.
