Ease Funeral Costs for Ethel White Hawk

Ethelene "Ethel" White Hawk is a loved member of the Brockton community in Brockton, Montana. She was employed for many, many years as a cook at the Brockton School, not only feeding thousands of kids in her time there but also hundreds of community members and visitors. She is long-standing member of the Warrior family at Brockton School and proudly supports not only her kids and grandkids, but all the students that have gone through her lunch line over the years at Brockton.

Ethel was diagnosed with cancer some time ago and underwent treatments. On July 11, 2024, she was declared a "Survivor of Cancer" and rang the bell after her last treatment.

In the last couple of months, it was discovered that Ethel's cancer had returned, and after testing and visits, it was confirmed that this round of cancer could not be fought. She has been very upfront with everyone about her current diagnosis, and on Sunday, September 22, the community, friends, and family gathered in Brockton to honor Ethel and show our love and appreciation for her.

Although she has been a member of the Brockton community for the majority of her life and resided here on the Fort Peck Reservation, she is not an enrolled member. Therefore, she and her family are anticipating major funeral costs after her journey.

A group of community members, family, and friends have gotten together to begin to help ease this worry by collecting and raising funds for her funeral costs. We do this so that while she is here, she can concentrate on spending her time with her family and close friends and not stress about any financial burdens.

All funds raised will be used to help ease the cost of her celebration of life when it occurs.
