Easing financial burden, paying tribute to her selflessness

On October 14, my good friend and coworker, Gloria (Nicci) Marinelli, lost her mother unexpectedly.

At a very young age, Gloria took on the role of a caregiver for both her mother and younger brother. In 1984, her mother Debbie suffered a devastating work injury that would leave her with medically complex issues and permanent disabilities. At that moment, Gloria's life changed forever.

Her entire life then was built around the demands and responsibilities required to care for her mom. This negatively impacted nearly every aspect of her life. Yet, her resiliency and strength during such a trying time are truly admirable, and the burden she carried was extremely immense.

Gloria would spend over 35 years making sure her mother was well cared for, allowing her ability to "live life for herself" to be taken away from her.

To help ease some of the financial burdens that come with the loss of a loved one, I have set up a GoFundMe to help provide support to Gloria.
