Easing the Burden: Carl's Funeral and Debt

Hello, my name is Sue Dawson. I am Carl's (CJ) mom. As most of you know, we tragically and suddenly lost Carl on September 14, 2024. I have paid out half of the cost of his funeral, all cost incurred to bring his truck home, and attorney fees associated with having to deal with the insurance company. I have been informed this morning that the insurance is not going to pay for the truck and total it out. I am fully responsible for paying for the truck as it was in my name and Carl's with full rights to survivor. I was having a hard time with thinking the truck was going to be totaled out because CJ loved that truck and his last breath is literally in that truck but after all I have paid out I physically can not afford to pay for it. I am asking for help to please help me keep his truck at home. I miss him and I'm so broken I don't know what else to do. What I do know is that I am going to be completely gutted to see the truck leave my yard.
