Easing the Burden for Bill Hayden's Loved Ones

My name is Matt “Smitty” Smith, long-time friend of Bill Hayden. The amount of pain felt creating this GoFundMe is immeasurable as on February 6, 2025 we lost an amazing man, son, brother, father, and husband, William “Bill” Hayden III. Bill was born on July 5th, 1985 in Newton, NJ to William and Lorrie Ann Hayden and was lucky to have Lorraine and Kate as sisters.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bill until high school when we played on the football team together. Despite him earning a D1 scholarship, I gave Bill the BUSINESS every time we stepped on that field (he would admit it too!) Bill and I developed a friendship that would last for years! My grandfather actually worked with Bill’s father at Volkswagen before I even lived in the Poconos. I guess you could say that we were destined to be friends.

Bill leaves behind a beautiful family comprised of his wife, Jordan, his daughter, Finlay, and son, Everest. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to support this beautiful family as they try to cope with this tragedy. While donations do not begin to fill the void created in all of our hearts with Bill’s passing, it will ease some of the stress and hardships his family may feel moving forward. Any donation, regardless of amount, is greatly appreciated and will assist Bill’s family.
