East Bay Musician Ben Ball replace his Saxophone!

Hi, my name is Sunny Adams, and my friend Ben Ball needs help! Ben Ball is a hard-working multi-instrumentalist jazz musician who experienced a robbery at 4 AM on June 18th in Oakland, California, at 41st and Telegraph in Temescal. He was unloading his gear after a gig that required 5 hours plus of driving, and two young kids came by on bikes as his back was turned and stole his beloved 1953 Selmer Super Balanced Action Saxophone. He has had it since 1995; it is his main instrument and essential to his income and livelihood. Ben Ball is one of the coolest cats and is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is a Berkeley resident and a graduate of Berkeley High School. He was a scholarship recipient at Berklee College of Music in Boston and graduated in 1992 after surviving a disabling car accident. He returned to Berkeley and, at one time, taught at Berkley High School. He is currently a full-time musician and desperately needs a new saxophone to continue to work and make the world a better place with his music. He plays with several bands and musicians throughout the Bay Area, often doing two gigs in one day. As a man of faith, he also regularly plays at Grace Lutheran Church in Richmond every Sunday and at other churches throughout the East Bay. Crime is rampant in the Bay Area at the moment, and we are all so frustrated and angry. We are asking ourselves, “ What can I do?” Well, I know one thing we can do to turn a heartbreaking tragedy into a beautiful Bay Area Love Story. You can pitch in and help Ben Ball get a new Saxophone. It is time to pay back the love that Ben has showered upon us with support and a small donation ( or large :) to take help sweet and loving Ben Ball.
