East Exshaw Flood Recovery

Donation protected
Exshaw - the community with a heart. June 1, residents of east Exshaw, specifically those on Mt. McGillivray Drive and Pigeon Mountain Drive once again felt the fear they had hoped to never experience again. Those who lived through the devastating community flood of June 2013 thought they had seen the worst. They survived, re-engineered and repaired - certain that their homes and families were safe and secure.

Then with a rushing vengeance, through no fault of their own, the force of water turned against these residents yet again.

Now the community with a heart needs your help. Beyond physical actions and emotional support - the need for many is financial.

Sincere and heartfelt gratitude goes out to every person who lifted belongings to higher ground, sourced pumps, hoses and equipment, arranged meals, offered laundry services and generally dug in to do whatever was necessary to “stay afloat”. If anyone feels they could do little more, a committee has been formed to assist in the disbursement of funds.

When life dries out again, the committee will assess needs and distribute funds to those with demonstrated need.
