East Fork Lutheran Robotics Travel Fundraiser

Hello!

We are the East Fork Lutheran School Robotics Team and we’re proud to announce that two of our teams have qualified for the Arizona State VexIQ Robotics Competition in March, 2024, and one team has earned a spot at the VexIQ World Competition in Dallas, TX this upcoming May 2024!!! (2024 VEX Robotics World Championship (recf.org). We’re thrilled to share that we’ve made remarkable strides in just our second year of VexIQ Robotics competitions. Our group has expanded from 6 to 18 enthusiastic students, giving us six different teams in our program.

As we gear up for the more competitive and prestigious events in Phoenix and Dallas, we’re reaching out for support to help cover various expenses associated with these events. Our current expenses (which could increase if we have more teams qualify at upcoming events) are;

• Travel Costs – Ground transportation to Phoenix for 6 students and 2 coaches and airfare costs to Dallas for two coaches and three students.

• Accommodations: Lodging expenses for the Dallas competition (5 nights)

• Competition and Registration fees for the teams at both events

• Meals for coaches and students at both events

• Miscellaneous Expenses: Potential equipment needs to improve robots, Parking fees, East Fork Lutheran Robotics Club T-shirts (we want all 18 team members and coaches to have shirts showing who we are, to show we are a team with spirit), and other miscellaneous expenses that may arrive.

A little more background on East Fork Lutheran School (efschool.org) and our robotics club. We are a small, private institution located in Whiteriver, AZ on the beautiful Fort Apache Indian Reservation, home of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Our Robotics students are grades 5-8 and they are all Apache students (and so are our coaches). As proud Christians and proud Apaches, we are determined to represent our rich heritage and faith on a national/global stage.

Every donation no matter how big or small, will be graciously appreciated by our students, coaches, staff, and families. If you know our school and our community, you know this could be a life-changing, once-in-a-lifetime experience that some students would never have thought possible. Together, we can help these young student innovators overcome obstacles, reach milestones, accomplish goals, and give them an experience that will generate memories for a lifetime.
