East Franklin Fire… One of Our Own Needs Our Help
Donation protected
On behalf of the East Franklin Fire Department, we are saddened to report that one of our own needs OUR help. Firefighter Steven VanDeursen, his wife Dineen and children Olivia and Evan lost their house overnight to a fire and have not been able to salvage anything. The VanDeursen’s have had a long legacy with the East Franklin FD, his father Butch is an Ex-Chief and Life Member, Steven serving in many ranks and his wife serving on the Ladies Auxiliary. They have given the community years of themselves and we are kindly asking that the community give their love and support as the family picks up the pieces from their tragic loss. Dineen is also a hairstylist at UFO Salon in Somerset. Thankfully we can report that everyone got out of the house okay along with the family animals.
All money raised will go directly to the VanDeursen Family to be used for their recovery. Currently they are without clothing, phones and transportation and anything that can be donated is greatly appreciated.
If you have any clothing or gift cards you would like to donate, you can drop it off at the Firehouse any night between 7:00 PM-10:00 PM at 121 Pine Grove Avenue, Somerset, NJ.
