Eastern Farmworkers Association Cleanup Fundraiser

IIDA Syracuse Student Center is partnering with Light the Yard and Eastern Farmworkers Association (EFWA) to host a reorganization and cleanup event for the EFWA office. The Eastern Farmworkers Association is a volunteer operated organization helping low income working families in the city of Syracuse. They allocate benefits such as job and housing referrals, food and clothing distribution, and volunteer dental, legal, and medical services.

During this event, volunteers will work together to make The Eastern Farmworkers Association’s office space efficient, promoting optimal operation by cleaning and reorganizing each room and replacing broken furnitures and supplies. Light the Yard plans to follow this event with a Needs and Notes event, providing EFWA with toiletries, food, and other donations to be distributed to their members.

Our donation goal is to raise enough to replace broken furniture with thrifted items selected by Environmental + Interior Design students from Syracuse University, arranged to encourage efficiency of the space. Any leftover donations will go towards the Eastern Farmworkers Association. Please share and donate to help fund our cleanup event!
