The Gibson's Farm was swept away in EKY flood

Donation protected
On July 27th and 28th, our dear friends, who are wonderful people, Candy and Charlie Gibson, lost everything due to severe flooding in their small hometown of Eastern Kentucky. Their home and barn are completely underwater and at risk of being swept away. Thankfully, Candy and Charlie made it out safely, but unfortunately, they had to release their animals; everything imaginable is at risk of being lost. The worst part is that their farm animals, horses, goats, and chickens are all loose. Their status is unknown at this time. The roads are covered in deep water, and we cannot get to them at this time. The National Guard is supposed to be there this evening to help. When the water subsides, we will be there to rescue as many of their farm animals as we can find.

The Gibson's have had their farm for over 30 years. They have always put their animals above their own needs. The barn chores are never-ending; tending to animals, training, caring for them, feeding, cleaning stalls, filling buckets, and bailing hay. Having the farm is a labor of love for the Gibson's, and they have always treated their animals with love. Their mess to clean up is extensive, and it will take months, if not years, to recover from the flood.

This GoFundMe will go directly to the Gibson's to help pay for hay, feed, expenses for food, boarding for the animals at another farm and help them to start over. If you can help, please donate any amount. It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much for taking the time to help support this wonderful family in desperate need.

Information is hard to gather due to utilities and cell tower outtages. When I do get it, I will update everyone on their statuses.
