Easthampton City Arts Artist Grants Initiative

We invite you to contribute to the Easthampton City Arts Artist Grants Initiative, which supports our local artists while cultivating community. All funds raised through this campaign will be matched by River Valley Coop, up to $5,000.
Easthampton City Arts (ECA) has a longstanding history of serving our community in receptive, responsive, and innovative ways and in accordance with the evolving needs of our public. Within the context of this time of pandemic, we recognize that our community of artists is more economically vulnerable than ever before and that the financial circumstances that individuals are facing are broad, complex, and diverse.
ECA has created the ECA Artist Grants Initiative in an effort to create new opportunities for artists to work and to be supported for the value they bring to our community. ECA has committed $10,000 to local artists through the Easthampton City Arts Artist Grants Initiative, which will roll out in phases during the weeks and months to come.
For PHASE I, ECA will issue 16 grants in the amount of $300/ea (totaling $4,800), in exchange for arts and cultural events, workshops, and activities that are designed to engage a public audience, through a variety of platforms. ECA will provide additional assistance and support in terms of outreach, promotion, documentation, and additional resources as needed - and we have partnered with MASS MoCA's Assets for Artists program to provide optional online financial and business support, with priority registration offered to ECA's grantees.
We have created this Go Fund Me page so that additional funds can be raised to directly and exclusively support this effort. *For every $300 raised through this platform, 1 new artist will be supported through this program. And on account of River Valley Coop's generosity and partnership, your contribution will stretch even further.
Easthampton City Arts (ECA) is a municipal organization that creates positive, innovative, and accessible arts programming and cultural events to generate and increase opportunities for artists and the local economy.
We encourage you to learn more about our efforts and impact at Easthampton City Arts - and to learn more details about the Easthampton City Arts Artist Grants Initiative, including eligibility requirements, program timeline, and an application to apply.
Many thanks for your support of these efforts!
