Easton is five and has a critical heart disease. Transplantation has failed and a pacemaker seems a temporary solution. Easton’s mother, Kendall, is a paramedic at a large metropolitan hospital emergency department, but with the COVID-19 pandemic she cannot work in such a high risk environment and enjoy close contact with her vulnerable son.
With bills mounting and no alternative, Kendall has been forced to return to work, and can only visit with Easton virtually, through internet devices.
Won’t you please help this mother raise the funds she needs to spend quality time with her terminally ill son?
More details:
This campaign was started when Kendall returned to work at Baptist Hospital Jacksonville, where she serves as an Emergency Department Paramedic, in contact with patients at high risk for COVID-19. I am a registered nurse, her friend and co-worker. All money raised will go directly to Kendall, who needs it to pay bills. The hope is that, if enough is raised, Kendall can take a break from working long enough to spend Easton’s dying days together with him. No one should have to watch their child die. But it is a pure tragedy when one of our sweetest helpers should have to do it from seven hours away just because the rent and car note are due.
