Justice for Easton

Donation protected
My name is Julie Duvall, I am a special needs advocate and this fundraising campaign is for a family I work with (mom has given me consent to share their story).

**Please be advised this story involves a child being injured while at school**

First, I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the family and myself for the TREMENDOUS support the community has shown this family. We appreciate all those who have reached out wanting to know if they could help.

Sadly in the last 24 hours the family received information that put us in a position to ask for help. I offered to start a go fund months ago yet mom declined saying " we are getting by". NOW with new medical concerns/procedures and having to hire an educational attorney to help get Easton justice, I have asked Mom to please let her village help.

Update from Mom's story below:
Medical update on E: Ortho Dr stated due to limited information from the school at the time of the injury, it prevented ER Drs to follow protocol for falls over 7 ft. Today the Orthopedic Dr x-rayed both hips and found fractures to both left and right side ( this was undetected weeks ago due to swelling). Easton has to go to Peoria to a Pediatric Ortho surgeon for medical procedures and at the very least Dr reiterated he will have therapy for years.

The Personal Injury lawyer notified school yesterday that they were representing the family. Now she needs an educational attorney as the school is requesting proceedings that she needs to be represented.

My heart breaks for this family, as Mom lost her job after having to take time off for the first incident in May. She was able to find a part time job in the evenings because Easton was not in school and finding daycare providers for disabled children is almost non-existent. Last week mom was hired for a job she could do from home, yet after today's medical diagnosis she has to resign before she even started because of the need for extensive medical procedures and intensive therapy.

The legal and medical bills are mounting daily.

The school has not replied to requests to pay for the medical bills.

If you are able to donate, any amount will be greatly appreciated. If not if you could please share Easton's story and this GoFund page that will be helpful as well.
