Easy Street Lounge recovery from the flood.
Donation protected
Easy Street took a huge hit with this last flood. The mighty Kennebec engulfed our beloved bar from top to bottom pretty much deystroying 13 years of creative hard work.
It could be at least three months before we can reopen as the inside must be rebuilt. We have been an eclectic staple working hard to keep Hallowell beatnik, artsy and funky and a safe dwelling for all. Many repairs are ahead in the near future along with the general keep up of bills, lisences, and so many other things thst flood insurence in a basement dwelling does not cover. We think it's worth rebuilding as Easy Street has been a beakon for diversity and creative expression and home to those seeking such. The moral support has been overwhelming . We have an interesting road ahead of us trying to balance finiacal concerns while we remain non functioning as the new space is rebuilt. Anything you may be able to contribute will help us to recover and rise again.
The blue bunny will be back.
