Levi and Mary Nuñez Family Fire Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
It has been 2 weeks since the start of the Eaton Fire. I know we are all keeping the families affected in our thoughts and prayers, wishing for their swift recovery as they begin to rebuild their lives, quite literally, from the ashes.
Among those impacted is the Nunez family—my sister Mary and her loved ones. They are just one of many families displaced by this devastating event.
They have called Altadena home for 23 years and is the only home Lila, Jules, and Isadora know. The fire tore through their entire neighborhood, most homes a complete loss. By some unexplainable reason, their main home stands which is a miracle. The backyard burned including their garage. This garage was home to Lila and her cat Rusty, and was also Levi’s office and music space. All instruments and equipment gone.
The main home holds a host of hurdles to overcome before moving back can even be considered. Most of these hurdles are unknown but they all have to do with safety due to the incredible smoke and chemical toxicity. The road to moving back will be long and complicated. They expect being uprooted for the greater part of 2025, and full recovery will undoubtedly take years.
I understand that times are challenging for many of us financially, but I humbly and lovingly ask for any contribution you can offer to help them take the first steps toward recovery. Every bit helps them get back on their feet and move forward, as I know they will—they must.
No donation is too small. Your generosity will mean the world to them during this difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness.
With love and gratitude,
