Eaton Fire: Janice Harper

Donation protected
On the morning of Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, Janice Harper lost her home in Altadena, California – and everything in it — to the Eaton Fire. This was the home where she raised her two now grown-and-handsome sons Darryl and Wade. It was the house Janice worked so hard for.

Anyone who knows Janice knows she certainly doesn't go down without a fight. She was bravely working to put out a fire in the yard when her son Wade arrived. Wade instinctively knew to come for her and drove through wind and smoke and fire to rescue her. After the flames ignited the kitchen and garage, Wade knew they had to get out. Only a fool would bet against Janice in a fight, but the fire took the home. Wade bravely rescued his mom that morning and saved her life.

With all that was lost that morning, we're raising money to give Janice the comeback she deserves. She'd never ask, so we're doing it for her. Your contributions will help Janice rebuild her life (clothes, shoes, day-to-day necessities) and make it safely through this challenging time.

(Rory, who started the fundraiser, lives in Los Angeles and is a good friend of Janice's son Darryl.)
