Eaton Fire Relief for Cherished Retired Poly Teachers

Hi Poly Community,

The Eaton Fire has devastated Altadena, and tragically, several of our beloved retired Poly teachers lost their homes.

These teachers have played hugely influential roles in our lives and have invested so much of themselves and their time in us. Now in the prime of retirement when they should be relaxing with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying all that the wonderful Altadena community has to offer, they are faced with completely rebuilding their lives from scratch.

We will continue to build this list as we learn more, but at this point we know of the following teachers who have lost their homes:

Mrs. Copeland Bristow

Mrs. Greely Caragher

Mrs. Cochran-Bond

Ms. Hamilton

Mrs. Pearson

Mr. Yure

We will be distributing the proceeds from this fundraiser equally among all the retired Poly teachers who are facing rebuilding. Thank you in advance for helping to let our teachers know how much they have meant and continue to mean to us.

I, Lauren Hay, am overseeing the withdrawal of funds into my bank account and am responsible for their management, including distribution. These funds will be disbursed equally amongst the six families via check, which has been confirmed as their preferred method of delivery. The checks will be mailed next week.
