Eaton Fire Relief for Perry Family Homes

My name is Elijah Perry, and I’m from Altadena, CA. Recently, my family and I experienced one of the most devastating events of our lives. We lost our multigenerational family home of over 60 years to the Eaton Fire, a tragedy that has left us heartbroken and overwhelmed.

My home wasn't the only one affected. My aunt and uncle, who lived just up the street, also lost their home, which they worked so hard to build and maintain. To make things even harder, my aunt also lost her car in the fire, leaving her without transportation during this difficult time.

My grandpa, now 89 years old, purchased our family home in 1960. For over six decades, it has been the heart of our family. It's where we celebrated holidays, shared meals, and made memories that shaped our lives. I've lived there my entire life--28 years--and it was a place that truly meant everything to us.

The fire destroyed nearly everything we own: our clothes, important documents, and irreplaceable keepsakes from my dad, grandpa, and uncle. The loss is immeasurable, and the road ahead feels uncertain and overwhelming. Right now we're staying in a hotel while trying to figure out how to move forward and rebuild. 

We're incredibly grateful for the support of our neighbors and the first responders who have helped us during this difficult time. Now, we're reaching out to ask for your help during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us rebuild our family’s foundation.
