Eaton Fire Took Everything: Aid for my mom, Jaclin

Hello friends,

My name is Nevada Cruz and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my mom, Jaclin. My mom has lived in Altadena, California for 25 years and unfortunately, our home was destroyed due to the Eaton Fire. My mom is now left with nothing.

I am her only child. I grew up in Altadena, and that was my home for 18 years. I learned my love for musicals from my mom and would perform in that living room. My mom decorated that house for every holiday and every occasion. My mom took a picture of me in our front yard every new school year. That was our home, and now it’s gone.

If some of you know my mom, you would know that she is one of the strongest out there. She’s funny, creative, and extremely intelligent. My mom is my best friend, role model, and means the world to me.

I’m deeply sorry for everyone’s loss. It pains me to see pictures and videos of places I called home. I pray for nothing but the best in the future, and I pray for everyone’s safety as we continue to fight this terrible situation.
