Eaton Wildfire Support for Marisa and Lyric

THE STORY:

Marisa and her daughter Lyric were both born and raised in Altadena-Pasadena. On January 8th, the Eaton fire took their home, which also served as Marisa's daycare center called 'Ms.Beasley's Childcare'. They both evacuated safely and left with nothing but a couple pieces of clothes, and the car they evacuated in.

Those who know Marisa know that she worked very hard to become independent, and start her own business. Marisa is a caretaker at heart, and took special care of our grandmother in her last months and days. She has also always loved kids, and was my favorite babysitter growing up, so it made perfect sense that she would be a caretaker to other family's children.

She was planning to upgrade to a larger home to take in more kids at her daycare when this fire quickly burned away nearly everything her and her daughter owned.

I'm asking family, friends, and the community at large to support Marisa and Lyric's get back on their feet.

Our greatest source of gratitude is that they are alive, as well as their dog. Any donations you can make are very much appreciated and will go a long way to helping get back on their feet over time from this sudden disaster.

THE GOAL:

1. Sustain their lives directly after the loss of their home (food, water, school, etc.)

2. Provide clothing, toiletries, and necessities

3. Securing Housing

These funds will go to helping Marisa and Lyric stabilize their life.

WHO IS ORGANIZING THIS FUNDRAISER?:

This Fundraiser is organized by Vanessa Poydras. I grew up in Altadena/Pasadena area, and I have multiple family members that were impacted by the Eaton Fire in Altadena, but this fundraiser is specifically for Marisa and Lyric. They are my first and second cousins. The funds will be dispersed to help with their most immanent needs.
