Help us get back on our feet!

Hey guys, I'm embarrassed to even do this, but at this point feel like I have no choice..My husband and I have 2 kids of our own and also started fostering my neice and nephew a year ago which turned our family of 4 into a family of 6. We were promised help from the state after taking them in, (cash assistance, food stamps, etc) but we have pretty much been left to do things on our own. We've had family help us as much as possible but everyone has their own lives and bills, and unfortunately people around us can only help so much...To make things harder, we renewed our lease on our house last month, but they increased our rent and we can barely afford it now. They say when it rains it pours and of course that's the case for us..

Last Monday I tripped and fell which caused a bad "contusion" (bone bruising) and a horrible sprain. I've missed 5 days of work so far and am missing another 7 days due to my injury. That's about $600-$700 in wages for me plus tips I'd receive.

We are already struggling to live paycheck to paycheck and with me losing out on those wages is going to make things impossible for us to pay bills and rent this month.

We need help. I wouldn't ask if we haven't exhausted every option we have, and this is my last resort. We are hard working people. We work more then we get to spend time with our kids. We rarely ever see eachother because of our schedules. And we just want to see our kids live a good life and not have to worry about financial struggles we're having.

Once we get back on our feet and caught up on bills, we should be able to stay afloat again and make ends meet. Anything helps, and one day we will pay it forward and help out when we can. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, it means so much.
