EB Hurricane Relief Fund

Donation protected
When I asked EB what she'd like as her birthday treat, she said she would appreciate a donation to a Hurricane Relief Fund. Only later did she tell me that both her parents' and grandparents' homes and cars are flooded. She's been at work every day with a smile on her face, helping others while dealing with this crisis.

This is *not* a Pendo thing (thus sent from my personal email) but I'd like to raise some funds for her and her family directly. She's way too selfless to ask, but I know Pendozers would want to help. Many people in the Houston area didn't have flood insurance, like many in North Carolina when Hurricane Floyd hit in 1999. Rebuilding will be a long and difficult process for many residents.

In Storm-Tossed Houston Area, Most Homeowners Lack Flood Insurance

She doesn't know about the fund yet and I'd like to present it to her on Saturday, her birthday.

Don't mind the "goal". They made me enter one so I randomly chose a number.

Notes from GoFundMe FAQ on taxes: Unfortunately, we're unable to provide specific tax advice since everyone's situation is different. While this is by no means a guarantee, most donations on GoFundMe are simply considered to be 'personal gifts' which are not taxed as income in the US. Additionally, only donations made to a legally registered non-profit or charity may be considered eligible for donors to claim as a tax deduction. Again, every situation is different so please consult with a tax professional in your area.

EB will be able to withdraw these funds directly and disperse to her family as needed.
